Ellen Joyce, a high school friend of Patty's and a blog regular, let us know on Monday that her father had died after an illness of several months. Patty had fond memories of Mr. Joyce, and our thoughts are with her and her family.

My condolences on your loss. Even if it isn't directly your parent, the loss can be just as greatly felt. Your family has endured so much. It was so fun to see the picture of all 7 of you together. You all looked so happy. I know that while you are going through your struggles things don't always look the brightest. I pray that God will richly bless you and your family as you head into the holiday season. I pray that God will bless you with good health. I know all of this is taking its toll on your family but you are quite a family. You are tough and will be able to see it through to completion. Keep getting all the rest that you need. I know you are sorely missed at OEHS. Subs are nice but there is NO way that they can ever take your place. You are an amazing lady - keep smiling that beautiful smile you possess. You are an encouragement and an inspiration to me.
