Hi everyone:
In relative terms, Patty has had a pretty decent weekend. With long stretches of sleep through the day yesterday and Friday, she found herself feeling well enough in the evenings for us to entertain friends and even go out for a little dancing and socializing. Her nausea, while still present, seems to be something she has learned to tolerate -- as she describes it, she refuses to put her life entirely on hold just because a few pills don't agree with her. Last night, she ate a full dinner and a late-evening chicken sandwich -- this, for Patty, is almost gluttony these days. It's funny how you can feel excitement over something so seemingly minor as an improved appetite, but I was just thrilled.
This coming Wednesday, Patty has a check-up with her cardiologist at University of Chicago Hospital. Of course, we won't know anything about antibodies until after 90 days, which seems like an eternity away.
