Yep, it's official...CellCept really blows

Hi everyone:

As you can see, today was a less-than-stellar day for Patty. Less than 24 hours after being put back on CellCept, the drug was discontinued yet again. Patty spent the day in bed with fever, terrible headaches, nausea and vomiting.

Tomorrow, she'll try Cytoxan, another chemotherapy drug, in the hopes she'll find it more tolerable than CellCept. I sure hope so, because Patty is really quite miserable.

Patty's sister Kathleen and brother-in-law Don bought Patty a TV to replace one of the two televisions that were destroyed by a power surge last week. Patty was really thrilled, especially after a long afternoon in bed without access to Judge Judy. For some reason, the lesser problems like appliances breaking down seem like insults added to injury.

The kids are visiting with Peter and Rachel until Sunday, at which time we hope to join the engagement party for our nephew Luke.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring better health to Patty.

Love,
Brian

P.S. Now we REALLY think someone's gunning for us. We just went outside and discovered that our freezer also had fallen victim to the lightning storms of a couple of days ago, and all the food inside is now garbage. We just can't seem to catch much of a break these days.

do you need a new freezer or was it just the contents that were spoiled?

are there other items that are needed?

Have you ever considered posting a wishlist?

The kids are doing great . . . I think they're just happy to be away from Tornado Alley, with its power surges and water spouts and such.

P.S. Have you thought about windmill powered appliances?
